How to add dynamic filter to datagrid

Hi,
I created a custom entity which contain a relation field to accounts and opportunities. Now I want to add a dynamic filter to opportunity grid which automatically filters opportunity records by specific account.

How should it work: I go to create new record of my custom entity, I select a related account, and when I click opportunity select button which shows a opportunity grid, the opportunity records should be filtered by account name which I selected earlier.

I created a event “BuildBefore” on sales-opportunity-grid and it works (I can fill the account filter) but I can’t get access to my custom entity record to get the account’s name or id.

Can You help me with that?

In case you want to filter by the current user, the easiest way will be to add query hint HINT_FILTER_BY_CURRENT_USERlike here at the last example

Or if you want to filter by current account, check how filter by user works and do the same for Account entity.

In case you need to have a filter by account, you can check how it’s done for Case datagrid, it could be done with datagrid configuration only:
