I have version 5.4.9 to php
2/a PHP accelerator should be installed
when I click the next button I get a blank page otien
apache log on I get the message the field below
File does not exist: /var/www/platform-application/web/installer, referer: http://localhost/platform-application/web/install.php

    Hello, casparks.

Have you checked this documentation article? http://oroinc.com/orocrm/doc/current/book/installation

    > where do I install Symfony (in the orocrm source?)
You should do composer update and that’s all – it automatically downloads all requirements.

    > I install composer while in the orocrm root directory but when updating vendors I get errors
Could you, please, put here these errors?

    > documentation is full of holes and missing steps for those not familiar with Composer and Symfony
Probably, you are right. Can you tell me, which part of documentation is not clear for you? We will update this article ASAP.

If you don’t want to work with composer, dependencies and all such other stuff – you can simply use already built code from http://oroinc.com/orocrm/download – it contains all dependencies, so you can install it from scratch as any other regular application.

Thank you Yevhen for your swift reply… I have found that part of the problem relates to my being stupid and a small part of the problem relates to confusing install procedure. I am pretty sure that Composer and Symfony installs make sense to those that are familiar with these applications but to the average Linux admin the procedure seems to be somewhat confusing. But then I have found that my IQ seems to be lacking on this particular day.

I see I have a PHP version problem, I will update php and resume my testing and install of oroCRM
based on the demo orCRM looks very nice… good work and apologies for annoying you with my stupid. There will be further questions though
