Product details (product variants/options) are not shown on quotes and orders

I do not see the product details on the quote/order
when I make a quotation or a order confirmation I want to show to my customer what kind of product they get.
For example I offer my customer a product 123 (material=X, colour=red, size=small)
and I like to mention this details to my customer

How can I get the details on the quotation and order

The default templates show information about a specific SKU that matches the selected combination of options. The templates can be customized if it is necessary to display some information from the parent configurable product instead.

To render template on front store used functionality of LayoutBundle.

Layout configuration:

• Order view: https://github.com/orocommerce/orocommerce/tree/master/src/Oro/Bundle/OrderBundle/Resources/views/layouts/default/oro_order_frontend_view and https://github.com/orocommerce/orocommerce/tree/master/src/Oro/Bundle/OrderBundle/Resources/views/layouts/default/imports/oro_line_items_grid/layout.yml.
  In last file contains configuration of layout that render grid with name ‘order-line-items-grid-frontend’. So, you need to change configuration of that grid in accordance with the necessary requirements

• Quote view: https://github.com/orocommerce/orocommerce/tree/master/src/Oro/Bundle/SaleBundle/Resources/views/layouts/default/oro_sale_quote_frontend_view
  You need to change block ‘quote_view_line_items’ and related template block ‘_quote_view_line_items_widget’ in twig file

this is strange, because when a customer orders a product 123 with attributes (color=red, size=m etc)
I cannot see this in the backoffice
in the backoffice I only see the SKU and the product name, but NOT the details
