1. I am trying to restrict the visibility of the product catalog to newly registered customers (so they cannot see any products) until they are assigned to a particular Customer Group (e.g. VisibleGroupA) by the sales team.
2. The visibility settings in Products, Master Catalog:
At root, All Products:
Visibility to All : “Hidden”
Visibility to Customer Group: Hidden except VisibleGroupA: Visible to All
Visibility to Customer: “Customer Group” for all customers (default)
With the settings above, a newly registered customer that isn’t assigned any Customer Group yet, is able to see the product listing.
1. If they are newly registered, which Customer Group do they belong to? (before they are assigned).
2. What settings in this case, should I place to ensure a customer without any Customer Group do not see any product when they just register?
