What are the options currently to have orders synced to an ERP system, is there a standard option to send xml via SOAP?

ORO supports SOAP Controllers through SoapBundle. Please take a look at SoapBundle documentation: https://github.com/orocrm/platform/tree/master/src/Oro/Bundle/SoapBundle#orosoapbundle

ORO also exposes REST API opperations through ApiBundle, you only need to configure the entities. Please take a look at ApiBundle documentation: https://github.com/orocrm/platform/tree/master/src/Oro/Bundle/ApiBundle#oroapibundle
