    Hi,

I am creating a number of simple products with two different configurable elements:

    1. Size (1 Liter, 2 Liter, 500 ML etc.)
    2. Type (Skimmed, low Fat Etc.)

However, once I group the simple elements into a configurable product – the product only shows one picture I set for the configurable product (not the multiple pictures set as main & additional for each of the simple product) and the prices it shows is only for one product variant. It also does not show any drop down boxes for the customer to select which product variation they would like to buy and what its price will be.

Can someone advise what the issue is?

    Just to Clarify Further:

Price of 1 Liter is different than 2 Litter – even though the product is same the quantity change means the price is different. I thought if the person selects different size the product page will reflect the price that matches that size & if a customer selects a specific type for example low fat – the product picture for low-fat milk would show. Please let me know if these features are there in oro-commerce.

Also I am unable to have a buy/ass to shopping cart “button” displayed for all the products I am adding.

In general – as I setup my Orocommerce 3.1 edition from AWS – the installed applicated does not show “add to cart” buttons or the quick order form buttons.

Is there something I need to fix? – I do not have technical expertise – Do i need to hire someone to fix this?

By default, this functionality is available only for logged in users.
However, you can configure it from the Back-office, see Configure OroCommerce Guest Access topic.

    Thanks Andrew,

So one other thing i need clarity on is – if I build a configurable product with two variants “Price” & “Size” – and such that with changing size the price of the product changes – is it possible for me to do a configurable product:
    1. with multiple sizes & different type having different prices in just one product.
e.g: 1 Configurable product is a total of the following simple products:
    1. Low Fat & 1 L – price 10 $
    2. Skimmed & 2 L – Price 11 $
    3. Full Fat & 1 L – Price 9 $

Will 1 configurable product be able to reflect such selections & resulting pricing for the customer or do I need to maintain the same pricing for all the products to have one configurable product for them.

Pricing for configurable products is used only for search and sorting. For buying scenarios prices from simple products will always be used.

Thanks Andrey, This issue is addressed well. I just have last two things to clarify on this:

    1. In the configurable display, I selected no-matrix form – so that I can see a drop down box to select my specifications of the product I want to add to my cart. However, once I select the two product variants – it does show the respective price of a single product but not a calculation of the “units x price = Total price” for the customer to see before adding to cart. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    2. for each type of simple product I add a respective picture – related to the size & type of the product. But when i configure the product as one – the pictures of the simple products do not show when i select the specific variant (type & size combo) in the drop down on my product page.

Can you provide some clarity on the above?
