Hi All – I am trying to understand features/functionality of OroCommerce and can see it’s a fantastic B2B marketplace platform for *one* seller i.e. there’s no out-of-the-box support for multiple seller/vendor paradigm. I have a couple of questions:

    1. Is there a simple way to create a separate supplier/vendor interface i.e. suppliers/vendors can register and be able to log in to update their information, details on their products, product pricing, inventory etc., communicate with seller and buyers? perhaps even be able to see participate in/respond to RFQs?
    2. Is there a simple way to achieve multi-seller/vendor model?

    Thanks
    Peeush

    Thanks Ilya!

I have had a good look through all the features listed in the OroCommerce Enterprise Edition as well, but there’s still no Supplier/Vendor interface or features to turn it into a multi-vendor marketplace. For example, there’s no separate registration screens for sellers/suppliers, no user type “sellers/suppliers”, not possible for such a user to create and update their own products (but not have access to any other seller/supplier’s products) etc, no portal where such sellers/suppliers can login and see their products, inventory, RFQs…

Any ideas on how to do it without going for a massive code customisation?

    Thanks

It’s possible to create several backend organizations with separate products set.
They have separate users and all other settings.

Each organization can have more than one website with frontstore and manage it separately.

You can contact our sales team to ask any business questions or ask for a demo:

    Thanks Ilya!

I will continue to explore further; multiple organisations is not the same as multi-seller/supplier paradigm where at the bare minimum, there’s facility for sellers/suppliers to sign-up on the website (pending approval from admin) and login to manage their products (and, if possible, sales). All sellers/suppliers products are still sold through the same website though.

At this point in time, I am primarily interested in community edition; will reach out to your sales team if I need to move to Enterprise edition.

I am also looking for B2B marketplace features and I’m also confused.

    On this page:
    https://oroinc.com/b2b-ecommerce/b2b-marketplace

it says that Orocommerce supports Marketplace features (like multi-vendor setup), but the features page (where the marketplace page links to) does not mention any such features! Also, no such features are to be found in the demo, or in the documentation, as far as I can see.

So it seems like we are missing something important here.

It would be a shame to reject the framework for lacking these features, if they exist somewhere.

P.S. I also found a commercial plugin which claims to add most features required for a B2B marketplace. But I still would prefer to find out if and which such features are supported natively by the framework.

What commercial plugin are you describing / located, George? Love to see it as well as others here I’m sure!
