    Hi there,

    In Orocommerce EE:

    * 1 Website is strictly related to 1 Organization, only – and
    * 1 Organization may have many websites (e.g. for Europe, Asia, NorthAmerica …etc).

In other words, in EE a scenario with multiple vendors (each vendor = one organization), selling their products on one website – the marketplace scenario – would not be possible out of the box.

    Is that correct?

Answering this question would help me to better understand the meaning of ‘organization_id’s and ‘website_id’s in CE, where they are always eqal 1 – of course, as we have 1 organization with 1 website in CE only.

    Thanks a lot.

    Regards from Germany
    Frank

You should not worry about ‘organization_id’s and ‘website_id’s when working with CE. These fields exist there only for more natural migration to Enterprise version.
I can’t reveal the implementation details of an enterprise feature at the community channel. If you are an enterprise customer, please contact the team through the customer portal to get a detailed explanation.

    Hi Andrey,

    I understand your concern.

I am not (yet) an enterprise customer (and it will take a while to become one). However, my question was about the features of EE only, not about potential migration issues.

No, problem. I will communicate with my the sales contact, asking my question there.

    Thank you.
