This topic describes alternative ways to install the Oro applications with an environment.
Besides the regular step-by-step installation process described in the OroCRM Installation Guide, there are additional ways (including those created by the Community) to quickly set up a working Oro application.
1st way (provided by Oro). Run a virtual machine with the prepared OroCRM image:
1. Download a fresh OroCRM.ova image from the Download the Oro Applications page by clicking the virtual machine link (you can find it next to the tar.gz and tar.bz2 archive download links) in the OroCRM section.
2. Import the image into the VirtualBox and run the VM. For more details, see the user manuals for VirtualBox.
2nd way (provided by the Community). Use Vagrant to set up the Oro application environment:
Use the Vagrant provision file created by NiMias to automate the setup of the Oro applications.
Please see the instructions in the repository’s README.md file.
3d way (provided by the Community). Use Docker to set up Oro application environment:
There is the Oro application docker-compose template created by Mitya @mkovel.
Please see instructions in the repository’s Readme.md file.
The list will be updated when new ways to install the Oro application appear.
