Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I’ve run into the same issues having just added a test with the following line to one of my Unit tests:

    And the error:

My app/phpunit.xml file is the default one with my tests added in.

And I run the following command:

Removing the mocks allows the test to run but it’s not ideal. I tried to drop my database and re-install to no avail. Was there a solid solution to the problem?

    Thanks,
    Simon

Here’s what I did to accomplish it. I first created a new Akeneo Step object.

And then I added it as an additional step in the batch_jobs.yml file:

The important stuff goes in the doExecute function of the Step object. It’s probably worth making quite abstract so you can use it for different tables but that should be enough to work out how to do it.

Ok, I’m an idiot. My entity didn’t have the Entity annotation…

I’ve run the following command to see if my new entity is being recognised and I don’t see it in the list at all. Despite it containing all my other custom entities. There must be something wrong with the entity itself.

Hi Andy. Did you ever write the blog post? I’m having trouble doing exactly this myself.

My issues are explained in better detail here: https://oroinc.com/orocrm/forums/topic/creating-custom-activity-entity

Here’s the code, if that will help:

    Entity/UserActivity.php

    Model/ExtendUserActivity.php

    Migration 1

    Migration 2

Is the error because I’ve manually written my migrations? Should I be letting oro:platform:update handle the table creation?

Thanks, but I still get the same error. And the entity doesn’t show up in the database either.

Cool, that works. I guess it’s useful to at least leave the option for people to be able to turn it back on.

    Thanks.

In my experience, Oro uses quite a lot of resources, so can be a little slow when developing locally. If you use a virtual machine for development, try increasing the amount of resources (memory, CPU) the machine has available.

Also ensure you’re running as few programs on your host machine as possible and stop any applications that appear to be using more resources than others. I found Spotify was being quite a CPU hog and made it very difficult to use Oro. Closing that really made a difference. Back to CDs then!

Ah cool. Is there more to adding relations through the EntityExtendBundle? I’ve managed to add the relation but when I call getSubscriptions on my model, I always get null. Even with data in the database.

Should the extended model have annotations for Doctrine or do I need to define them in my own model?

My extended entity class looks as follows:

This is also something that’s tripped me up. An update on how to achieve it would be great.

If anyone else comes across this post, you should do the following:

Your model should extend an ‘extend entity’ class. Instructions here
      Run the following commands:

They might not all be required, but this got it working for me.

Yeah, you’re right. I extended BasePerson, instead of via an ExtendCustomer class. All good now.

I’m not sure I really understand why I must extend another class, though?

    Thanks for the help.

Does anyone have any idea about this? It’s still causing issues. I can’t log calls on my custom entities.
