For now approval is done by the proofreaders of any language. Are you seeing any issues?

@Jowo for now the Community (Free) Edition will have support for an organization structure but without the ability to have different configurations per organization. Our Enterprise (paid) Edition will support multiple companies setup that will allow for multiple business to run in the same installation with complete control over configuration.

Except for “not creating an account” request it seems you can use the system with out any workflows and just create new leads, opportunities and contacts. The only issue is that our out of the box workflows (which you can disable) create an account when you qualify a lead.

    thanks

@webkul you can list your paid extension on the Marketplace but they management of the payments etc needs to be managed by you. Also the paid extensions cannot be distributed through our packageist for now.
We are working on the developer documentation and you can see our progress here:

@anthonymartin not really this is more to simplify the workflows and have one per entity. This will allow to have multiple workflows, say for different sales teams or organizations that have the same related entities.

@anthonymartin This was not removed but rather collapsed in to the sales activity workflow. In the next release this will be complete through the ability to create and/or use existing Leads and Opportunities in the that workflow. In any case the old workflow are still available but just disabled out of the box.

    Thanks

    @Bamajr,
Thanks you for considering our product. As you might know we were deeply involved in Magento and the open-source strategy there and we are looking to have the same model with Oro. The model is a dual-licenses where we have a free community edition and a paid version or enterprise version. The two versions will be distinguished on different levels such as feature set, support, warranties etc. This model was very successful for us and our ecosystem before and we feel will do good for this ecosystem as well.

In the near future we are also looking at a SaaS or IaaS model to help companies that want to use our product without the need to take care of hosting or owning hardware.

I hope this clarifies our strategy

@seddonm1 Thanks for the kind words.

About the horizontal vs. vertical menu, it is a really good point and we will consider adding it in a future release (or maybe you want to contribute it? ;))

About GitHub, we have hundreds of branches in development so once we merge them (every two weeks) we make our code publicly available. We plan to continue making a public update every two weeks even after we have a stable release so that you can keep on top of our work.

    I hoe this helps

thanks for your input and support

We have many enhancements on our roadmap for the grid bundle one of which is inline editing. We also want to add ability to expand a specific row(s) without leaving the grid page among other features.

@maxk OroCRM and OroPlatform are now in Alpha and mainly released so the community and developers can get a preview into what we are working on. We will release our Beta version later this year towards the end of Q3 and will have a demo site and installer that will allow you to try out our product.

I hope this makes it a bit clearer

    Thank you,

@maxk we are working on an installation wizard and it should be available around our Beta release this September so I suggest maybe waiting for it to install Oro.

@alanstorm we agree with the issue you brought up and had/have plans to propose a solution (similar to yours) by the Beta release this year
